Notifications for unregistered authors

Notifications are also available to unregistered authors of items, i.e. authors who do not have an account in the Allegra system.

Allegra can be set to accept items via email from authors who do not have an account in the system. Also, such authors can be informed about the status of their items.

The notification scheme and notification triggers are inherited from the “guest” account. Thus, notifications to unregistered authors are treated as if the guest user had created the associated item, except that the author’s email is used for the notifications and not the guest user’s email.
